Managing Director

Andrew is a professional civil engineer with over 40 years in the industry including key roles at three Australian State Road Authorities.

He has led a range of large multidisciplinary technical organisations. Andrew has been a professional in road and bridge engineering, a manager of large numbers of staff and a key influencer on Queensland road and traffic strategies, maintenance and operations. He has received the prestigious Director Generals’ Excellence Award for Leadership & Management.

The 2023 Murray River Crossings (MRC) Strategic Business Case (SBC) assessed options for improving the 32 road crossings between New South Wales and Victoria. Under Andrew’s leadership as Project Director, the SBC and its Supplement focused on safety, efficiency, connectivity, and heritage considerations. These studies were developed collaboratively by Transport for NSW and Victoria’s Department of Transport, leveraging the longstanding Moiety Agreement and Movement and Place Frameworks to identify and prioritize strategic cross-border projects.

As a former Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Regional Director based on the Gold Coast, Andrew led and managed the planning, operation and provision of infrastructure for the second largest region in Queensland.

Andrew was Program Director for the cost reduction initiative known as the Independent Catalyst for Differential Cost Savings (ICDCS). The ICDCS program was a unique opportunity for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) to partner with industry and to leverage off local experience and global networks to find innovative ways to reduce the cost of building and operating Queensland’s transport infrastructure

Greg is a highly accomplished Technical Leader with over two decades of experience in infrastructure management, specializing in operational delivery, pavement deterioration assessment, project strategy, and asset management. Greg’s career has been marked by his innovative approach to process optimization and his ability to lead high-performing teams.

In his role as the Lead Pavement Deterioration Assessor, Greg’s team evaluated the condition of highway pavements for a state department of transportation. Through detailed material analysis and environmental factor assessments, he identified areas of distress such as potholes, cracks, and rutting. This data-driven approach enabled the development of a comprehensive maintenance plan that extended pavement lifespan by 20% and reduced maintenance costs by 15%. Greg’s ability to integrate advanced diagnostic tools with traditional methodologies has been instrumental in achieving these results.

Greg is also recognized for his exceptional leadership skills. His ability to collaborate across diverse functional areas ensures seamless integration of strategies and processes. At Hyder Consulting/Acadis, he spearheaded the Project Strategy & Review service, leading a multidisciplinary team that developed strategic plans to mitigate risks in a major infrastructure development company’s project portfolio. By identifying delays, cost overruns, and resource shortages, Greg’s leadership resulted in a 25% reduction in project timelines and a 15% decrease in costs. His approach not only optimizes operations but also enhances the overall success of projects.
